HeOneNet.com Blog Contest Official Rules and Regulations
NO PURCHASE OR FEE NECESSARY TO PLAY OR WIN. Promotion period is from 1 February 2007 to 30 April 2007 (the "Contest Period").
1) Who is eligible:
- The eOneNet.com Internet Marketing Blog Contest (”the Contest) is open to legal residents of all existing countries and territories (excluding South Africa, Arizona, New York, Florida, Rhode Island, and Puerto Rico of the United States and Quebec of Canada), who must be both eOneNet.com members and eOneNet.com Blog subscriber and are at least 18 years of age as of the beginning of the Contest.
- Employees of eOneNet.com and their respective parent companies, subsidiaries, advertising agencies, and their immediate family members, are not eligible to participate in the Contest. Participation in the Contest constitutes entrant’s full and unconditional agreement to and acceptance of these Official Rules & Regulations (”Official Rules”). VOID WHERE PROHIBITED.
2) Registration:
- Not Yet a Member: To enter the Contest, you must be a registered eOneNet.com member AND the eOneNet.com blog subscriber. Registration is free.
To register as an eOneNet.com member, go to http://www.eonenet.com/eoneclub/intro.htm, and completes the registration steps required. After completing Step 1, you will then receive an email verifying your joining as a free member with a password. Then you will need to check your email to retrieve the password and enter this password in Step 2 to verify your membership.
To register as eOneNet.com Blog subscriber, go to http://www.eonenet.com/internet_marketing_blog/
www.eOneNet.com/internet_marketing_blog, subscribe to eOneNet blog by entering your email address in the field on the right hand column of the blog. Then you will receive an email to verify your subscription. Check your email, and click at the link found in your email to confirm your subscription.
- Already a Member: If you are already an eOneNet.com member and eOneNet.com Blog subscriber, then you do not need to register again. You may enter the Contest according to the instructions below. You need to be both eOneNet.com member AND eOneNet.com Blog subscriber to be entitled to enter the Contest.
3) How to Enter the Contest:

- Top 5 Commenters each month x 3 months The top 5 members who have most no. of comments published on eOneNet’s blog each month will be awarded the following prizes (each entrant is entitled to win this prize once only) during the Contest period:

- Top 10 comments during the Contest Period eOneNet will select the top 10 comments during the Contest Period and open to eOneNet members to vote. The comments with the top 3 most no. of votes will get the following prizes (or a substitute prize of equal or greater value)
1st Winner (the most no. of votes): One new Apple iPhone 4GB (Worth US$499) (prize will be awarded as soon as it will be released in Hong Kong, Singapore or Malaysia)

5) Claiming of Prizes:
- The list of winners of the Top 5 commenters each month will be announced in this blog within 7 working days of the following month and will be notified individually via emails.
- The list of winners for the Top 3 comments voted by eOneNet.com members will be announced on this blog within 7 working days of the closing of the voting.
- The winners must claim the prizes within one month by replying via email to eOneNet.com or phone call to eOneNet’s offices to register their claim. Any prize not claimed accordingly will be forfeited and given to the entrant with the next highest number of comments published or next highest number of votes (as the case maybe).
- For winners who are resident in Malaysia, Hong Kong, or Singapore, they will need to collect the prizes (for both Top 10 comments each month and Top 3 comments voted by eOneNet.com members) in person at our corresponding local offices within one month of our notification of prize collection. For other winners not resident in these places, the prizes for the Top 10 commenters each month will be sent to them via airmail within one month after announcement of the winners. For the prizes for the Top 3 comments voted by eOneNet.com members, the prizes will be sent to them via international courier within one month after announcement of the winners (except for the Apple iPhone, which will be made available as soon as it’s released for sale in Hong Kong, Malaysia, or Singapore). The prizes cannot be exchanged for cash or be substituted by other prizes, except at the option of eOneNet.com for a prize of equal or greater value.
- Winners are solely responsible for any national or local taxes that apply to the prizes.
- The decision of eOneNet.com will be final and conclusive.
6) General Rules:
By entering the Contest, you agree to be bound by these Official Rules:
- By participating and winning a prize, the winners shall release eOneNet.com,its parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries, directors, officers, employees, agents, including advertising and promotion agencies, from any and all liability with respect to the Contest and the acceptance, possession or use of any prize, including without limitation (i) any condition caused by events beyond eOneNet.com’s control that may cause the Contest to be disrupted or corrupted; (ii) any injuries, death, losses, or damages (compensatory, direct, indirect, incidental, consequential or otherwise) of any kind arising in connection with or as a result of the prize, or possession, or use of the prize, or from participation in the Contest.
- eOneNet.com’s decisions in relation to the Contest are final.
- eOneNet.com reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, modify or suspend the Contest in whole or in part, in the event of fraud, technical or other difficulties or if the integrity of the Contest is compromised, without liability to the entrants. eOneNet.com reserves the right to disqualify any winner, as determined by eOneNet.com in its sole discretion, if it finds any entrant to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Contest or the eOneNet.com website, to be in violation of the eOneNet.com Terms of Use Agreement, to be acting in violation of these Official Rules, or to be acting in a non-sportsmanlike or disruptive manner, or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person.
- This Contest is provided on an “AS IS” basis and without warranty of any kind, express or implied.
- The winner is responsible for paying any income taxes on the value of the prize received.
- The Contest is void where prohibited or restricted by law. All national and local laws and regulations apply.
- As a condition of entering the Contest, you hereby consent and give permission to eOneNet.com, their respective parents, affiliates, subsidiaries, vendors, advertising agencies, and each of their respective directors, officers, employees, representatives and agents, permission to use, reproduce, exhibit, display, print, distribute, publish and broadcast, without any obligation to compensate you, your name, location, picture, voice, and your statement, contained in, or relating to, your entry in the Contest, in any advertising and promotional materials, worldwide in any media now known or hereafter developed, including but not limited to the Internet, except where prohibited by law, and without notice, or approval by you. All entries shall become property of eOneNet.com.
7) Privacy:
Personally identifiable information that is submitted by entrants as part of the Contest will be treated in accordance with eOneNet.com privacy policy accessible on its website at http://www.eOneNet.com/corporate/privacy_policy.htm
8) Governing Law:
- The Contest shall be governed by the laws of Hong Kong.
- Except where prohibited, each entrant: (1) agrees that any and all disputes, claims and causes of action arising out of or connected with the Contest or any prize awarded shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and exclusively by the courts of Hong Kong; (2) agrees that any claims, judgments and awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred and in no event shall include legal fees; and (3) agrees that no punitive, incidental, special, consequential or other damages, including without limitation lost profits may be awarded to entrant (collectively, “Special Damages”), and (4) hereby waives all rights to claim Special Damages and all rights to have such damages multiplied or increased.
